The 2025 Ford Maverick has all the functionality of a full-size truck in an urban-friendly, compact body. We love all the powertrain options, the rugged capability, and the clever storage system that makes it the perfect choice for someone who needs to zip around the city, do some DIY projects, or go off-road when adventure calls.

4 Versatile Features of the 2025 Ford Maverick

All Those Powertrain Options

First, there’s a 2.5L hybrid engine that comes standard in the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims and gives you 42 mpg in the city and 35 on the highway. It’s FWD standard, but you can upgrade to AWD if you like. It comes with a continuously variable transmission and gives you 191 hp and 155 pound-feet of torque.

If you’re ready for more, check out the 2.0L EcoBoost gas engine. This one can give you up to 250 hp and 275 pound-feet of torque. Even in the base trim, this truck can handle 2,000 pounds of towing and 1,500 pounds of hauling. Upgrade to the right tow package, and you can tow up to 4,000 pounds.

Adjustable Bed Design

The Maverick is made to be compact, but Ford wants you to be able to do a lot with that space. The bed is 54.4 inches and gives you a total of 33.3 ft.³ of space for storing things. The bed comes with Ford’s FLEXBED storage system that allows you to make the most of every inch. This system has integrated tie-downs that can also double as bottle openers, built-in slots for organizing tools, and dividers that make it simple to put your gear or available accessories wherever you need them.

Space-Efficient Interior

Inside, you have room to seat up to five people, and once again, you can make the most of that space. It’s a two-row layout, and the back bench seat has cushions that easily flip up to reveal an under-seat storage area. You’ve also got deep pockets in the doors, plenty of room in the center console bin, and lots of ways for everyone to stay connected, including a household-style outlet.

Easy-to-Use Tech

The infotainment system works with Ford’s SYNC 4 system and has a 13.2-inch touchscreen that’s wirelessly compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get Bluetooth connectivity and easy voice control. In higher trims, you can also opt for wireless phone charging, a B&O audio system with eight speakers and a subwoofer, and built-in navigation.

These are just some of the goodies that come with this year’s version of the Maverick. There’s a lot more to explore, and the best way to do that is with your own test drive. Come see us at Bonnell Motors, Inc in Winchester, MA.
